Wedding Planning Tips - Day After
Posted by  FirstPhera Team  on  Wednesday, January 02, 2008

Married? Many Congratulations!

Wouldn't it be great not to do after anything after a marathon Indian wedding? It'd be, but you are probably only a day or two away from sipping margaritas on the beach. In the meanwhile, here's a few quick tips for you so you lie by the beach in peace...

  • You expected it, didn't ya? Its time to update your favorite WedSite with your honeymoon plans and details. Make your friends envious and post cool pics of your destination

Now the serious stuff...

  • First, make sure the passports, visa, traveler's checks, cash & credit cards are in place.

  • Pack appropriate medication and be sure to carry health insurance. Most couples land into their destination, go crazy, eat, drink and party and the next thing they know is they are sick

  • Carry required accessories and a change of clothes in your hand-bag. Who knows... these damn flights get delayed all the time

Be sure to grab your camera. If you are not carrying a laptop (which, by the way, is a terrific idea so you can update your wedsite while you are there ), be sure to cary an extra memory card

  • If you haven’t already, buy a destination guide from the local bookstore

  • Arrange for your transport from airport to hotelIf traveling internationally, ensure your mobile service is covered. Also, be sure to leave your hotel contact information with family and friends for them to reach you

  • While checking in at the flight or hotel counter, be sure to ask the attendant if (s)he could upgrade you to a higher class of service. Attendants are known to be kind to honeymoon couples - just act cute
Secretly arrange for a surprise gift for your spouse, to gift at the destination. Guys - this'll probably be your last gift to her, but just do it
Arrive at the airport / station early to avoid any last-minute problems. Besides being a safe thing to do, its a good excuse to escape from the family early

  • Make sure you have the right clothing and accessories in place for your destination

Go ahead and have fun. At the hotel business center or when you are back, be sure to blog about it right in your WEDSite

Happy Travels!
