A wedding website is a nifty way to announce and continuously manage, share and preserve your wedding activities and memories with your friends and relatives. Its like a wedding album that couples so cherish over the years. Its a fun and convenient way to share more about your newly engaged partner, announce the various events in your wedding, share photos, blog about your wedding and discuss questions about your wedding. - How much does it cost?

As hard as it is to believe, its free. Its absolutely free for the first 6-months. No credit cards, no checks, no cash. Free Plans are sponsored by our advertisers. If you wish to upgrade to a Premium Plan, we have several upgrade plans available too. After the 6-month period, you will have the option to either delete your site and order a CD or coffee-table book for you to keep or to upgrade to a Premium Version. Premium Plans start at Rs. 599.

- What skills do I need to create a wedding website?

Actually, all you need is a wedding to happen, some enthusiasm and an hour or so. Creating a wedding site is really really easy. Just type your stories and your wedding information, load some pictures and you are all set. If you know HTML, you can do a few things more, but the absolute best way to make a wonderful wedsite is to be enthusiastic about it.

- How long can I keep my website?

As long as you want. We will keep it free for the first six months. After or during that period, you can upgrade to a Premium Plan (see question 3 above). You can keep it as long as you wish to. Of course, wed love for you to keep it forever

- What are my options after I am married and I do not want to maintain my wedding site?

Well, first off - congratulations. Wish you a happy married life. There are a few options - a) If there is still some time remaining for the free 1-year period, wed ask that you just keep it online. Its no cost to you, and you can continue loading more interesting things like your honeymoon stories, honeymoon pictures or continue to write post-marriage stories on your wedding blog. After all, your friends are probably still curious about whats going on in your newly married life. b) If the va

- How do I create the best wedding site ever? How do I get featured on your home page?

Nice, we like the aggression. Its actually really simple. Here are a few ways to achieve the elite status - a) Post great stories. About you, your partner, how you grew up, how you met, etc. Basically, think about all the stuff that your friends and relatives would ask, and post it b) Post pictures. Wonderful pictures. - Do I need to be getting married to create a wedding site?

If you are a bachelor, unfortunately, yes! If you are already married, its not a problem at all. No matter when you got married, its never too late to create a wedding website. How about creating one and gifting it to your spouse on your anniversary? For bachelors, if you have no partner and plans to get married, sorry! - How do I add images to my page?
|
|
To add an image, click on Advanced Edit in your page. On the menu that opens up, click on icon. In the popup that open, just browse to your image and click Upload. Once its uploaded, you can also resize your image based on your page layout.

- Can I make my wedsite template theme exclusive?
|
|
Unfortunately, not. All our templates are available for use to everyone. If you wish to make your template unique, please contact us directly. We will be happy to work with you to create a custom-made template for you at an additional charge
|

- Is there a limit to the number of pages I can create?
|
|
No. Go ahead and create as many pages as you wish. We want to see creative use of the site as well. Of course, if there is any reason to believe that this feature is being abused, then we might turn off your site. For more info, please see our Terms of Use

- Is there a limit to the number of photos I can upload?
|
|
Yes. At this point, we are only allowing a maximum of 6 albums per wedsite and 20 photos per album. So thats a total of 120 photos max. For a free wedsite, we think this is pretty generous. But we are working on getting more storage space and will offer a paid-version of our wedsite with unlimited storage space. Stay tuned.

- What if my wedding date is yet undecided?
|
|
No worries. You can load your wedding date whenever you are ready. Just go to Site Settings, click on Wedding Information and enter your wedding date. Dont forget to update your events date information as well on your Events page

- Can I upload my own music tune to play in the background?
|
|
Yes. You can upload any legally owned music you wish. Please note that any liability resulting from uploading illegally procured music and streaming it to your visitors will rest on you. For more information, please see our Terms of Use

- Can I use my own wedding template?
|
|
You mean, you have a wedding template? Now thats the spirit. Unfortunately, we do not allow the ability to upload your wedding template. But if you are an excellent designer and programmer and just want to use your own creation, please contact us directly.

- Can I get multiple events, discussions, RSVP pages?
|
|
Unfortunately, no. We thought really hard about it, but could not come up with a good reason why a single wedding would require multiple events and RSVP pages. If you have a good reason, please do let us know - we are always looking for feedback .

- How long does it take to create a wedding site?
|
|
It really depends. We have done a few in less than 20 minutes. If you have the photos ready, you can get the first version done in less than 10 minutes. On the other hand - some hardworking souls have been known to take weeks (guess some people take their jobs quite seriously). In general, we think a couple of hours is about the right time to get it set up. After that, 10 minutes every day or two to interact with your friends through discussions and blog is about righ

- Can I upload music files in .wav, etc. format
|
|
Unfortunately, we only allow uploads in .mp3 format. If you have music in another format, you can convert them to .mp3 using a music conversion software. Several free tools are available online - just google it.

- Can I get a personalized domain name?
|
|
At this point we do not offer this option. We wanted to keep this product free for you and registering a personalized domain costs money. If this is important to you, please contact us directly and let us know

- How do I share my wedding site with my friends?
|
|
On your wedding site, there is a link at the bottom called "Share My Site" on each page. Just click on it, import email addresses from other sites or manually enter your friends email addresses and you are set to go

- How do I create a new page, delete a page or re-order pages?
|
|
Its really easy. Go to the "Site Settings" page on your wedsite navigation menu. Click on page settings. For re-order, just click on a page name in the list and move the up / down arrows. Deletion of a page is not allowed, the best thing to do is to hide a page, by using the Hide Page check box. Finally, you can add a new page by just clicking on "Add New Page" in your navigation menu

Glad you ask. Blog (short for a web log) is the latest (and perhaps the most exciting) innovation of the new web (also termed as Web 2.0 by some). Its just a way for you to write about whats going on with your wedding, keep your friends posted on whats new, use it to post your thoughts, whatever. Its open space - use it as you wish

Just log-in and start entering your guest info in your guest list. Once you have created your wedding site, guests can RSVP through your wedding site and you can track their RSVP status through your guest list

Just log-in and start creating your task lists (i.e. categories - ex. Reception tasks, bride-related tasks, etc.). Within each task list, you can create individual tasks and enter due-dates. You can also set reminders through email

- What is a Gift Registry?

|
A gift registry is a convenient and efficient way of making sure that you only receive gifts you really wanted for your wedding. The way it works is you prepare a wish-list for your wedding and share it with your friends and family. Guests then choose an appropriate gift from this list. This eliminates guesswork on part of your guests, avoids duplication of gifts and you are guaranteed to get gifts you really wanted.

The weird thing about gifting is that it tends to be very gratifying to your guests, even if you say No to gifts. The best way to share a Gift Registry is through your Wedding Website. Its direct enough so your guests will never miss it, and yet its polite - since you are not mentioning it explicitly. Another good tried and tested way is to inform a close friend about it and have that friend spread the word around.

- How can I share my Gift Registry with my friends & relatives?
|
|
Once your Gift Registry is created, a URL is available on Share My Registry page. You can send this URL with your guests through email or simply paste it in your chat status or blog. However, pasting it in your wedsite and having it spread through word of mouth is the most recommended option.

- What kind of gifts are available in Gift Registry?
|
|
FirstPhera offers a few thousand products to choose from; all the way from crockery to household items, gift vouchers, perfumes, electronic items and more. It is not affiliated to any specific brand, so you have almost all the brands available to choose from.

- How many gifts can I add in my Gift Registry?
|
|
You can add as many as you want. Of course, we recommend that you only choose gifts that really want and meet the budget of your guests. Generally, 30-50 products in the Registry is standard.

- Does it cost anything to create a Gift Registry?
|
|
Of course not. The Gift Registry is totally free to use. When your guests buy a gift for you, we make a tiny bit of money from commissions from vendors. So, the more gifts you add and the more guests you invite to buy, you get more gifts and we make more money
